Your First Visit at Jackson Family Dentistry

To make your first dental visit the most enjoyable experience, please come prepared with the following information:

  1. 1. A list of any or all medication that you’re presently prescribed and taking
  2. 2. Your dental insurance information
  3. 3. Patient Forms filled out

Having this prepared and ready for your appointment will save you time and allow us to make your first visit the very best experience.

Upon your arrival we will sit and discuss your desired outcome, any pertinent medical and dental histories, the idea of a lifetime strategy for dental health, and any questions or concerns you might have.

After our discussion we will do a thorough examination of your mouth and surrounding structures. We will check the soft tissue in your mouth (oral cancer exam), check your bite, teeth, gums, and jaw joint. We will also take any necessary x-rays and photographs. You will view a tour of your mouth using our state of the art intra-oral camera. Our patients love being able to watch their intra-oral tour as it is displayed on our 40 inch flatscreen TVs. Occasionally dental impressions may be taken for study models.

Preventive Care Visits:

It is our joint responsibility to see that follow up preventive care is done on a regular basis. Many patients choose to schedule their next visit before they leave. We consider this a confirmed appointment. Please call us 48 hours in advance if you must change the time we have reserved for you.

Emergencies:

Occasionally, dental emergencies do occur. When they do, please contact the office immediately as we always make time available to treat your emergency as soon as possible.

Cancellation & Rescheduling Policy:

When you make your appointment, the time we set aside for you is your time only. We see our patients individually and value your time and dislike keeping you waiting. We ask that you also respect our time. If you are unable to keep your appointment, please notify us at least 2 business days in advance. A nominal fee may be charged to your account if this notice is not given.
